St Jude’s extraordinary events October- December 2019:

44th Triennial Synod 18th– 20th October – Our Synod Reps will provide the parish with a report on Sunday 17th November.

St Jude’s Patronal festival with Confirmation of candidates 11am Sunday 27th October – followed by a free festal feast with Archbishop +Geoff Smith. All are welcome!

Clergy Women’s Morning by the Sea 2019- 10am- 12.30pm Thursday 31st October 2019. We will gather for a service in the St Jude’s lady chapel at 10am with guest preacher Rev’d Dawn Colsey, and move into a program of coffee and beach walking to follow-up. All clergy women welcome!

St Jude’s Spring Fair Saturday 2nd November 10am- 2pm– fantastic food, marvellous music and super stalls. Bring your appetite and come and say hello!

Christ the King, November 24th 10am – Combined worship at Brighton Uniting Church with our brothers and sisters in Christ, just before Advent!

Diocesan Ordinations 10am Saturday November 30th – Keep the date please as we eagerly anticipate the ordination of Dr Josephine Armour! For more details closer to the event please check pew sheet notices or www.adelaideanglicans.com.

Advent Studies with Reverend Roger Hilton- Each week of Advent 2019. More details TBA

Advent services- every Sunday in Advent 8am and 9.30am- 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of December 2019.

Memorial Service 2pm on Sunday December 1st (Advent 1) – giving thanks to God for the lives of those we have loved and lost.

St Jude’s Christmas Luncheon 15th December- after Sunday worship come and give thanks for the season with all your friends. Carols, children’s story, food and more. Something for everyone.

Carols at Marion Shopping Centre 22 Dec 2pm– St Jude’s choir and musicians give shoppers Christmas cheer. Come and join us!

Christmas midnight Mass 24th December starting at 11pm- all welcome for excellent carols and music, love, hope, peace, joy and cheer!!

Christmas morning 9am 25th December – A lively Christmas morning service for everyone. Includes a children’s story, Sunday school, music and love. All welcome!!

QUIZ NIGHT Saturday 1st February 2020 from 7.30 Come and test your skills and leave with the winners glory. Please contact the parish office for more details as tables are filling fast and we need your brain!

Launch of St Jude’s Community Pantry February 9th 2020– Come and help us to celebrate the start of a new exciting outreach for our community with Bishop +Denise!

Regular services:

Friday 10am Eucharist. A peaceful service with one hymn with friendly community in the chapel, followed by fabulous Coffee Spot refreshments and snacks.

Sunday 8am Eucharist. Musicians and hymns in the church. A beautiful service to worship and find some peace before the weekend busyness.

Sunday 9.30am Sung Eucharist. Musicians, choir and lively congregation with sung Eucharistic setting and Sunday School.

Mother’s Union Eucharist 10am in the chapel. On the last Thursday of the month February- November. Everyone is very welcome.

Morning prayer in the chapel. Services are said ion Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9am. All are welcome to join.

Alwyndor Aged Care Eucharist. On the second Wednesday of the month at 10.30am St Jude’s provides Eucharistic ministry to residents at Alwyndor.

Healing Ministry with anointing and prayer is offered at both the Sunday 8am and 9.30 services on the third Sunday of each month.
