At St Jude’s we offer a suite of services to cater for most tastes. These range from small midweek services to larger traditional or informal gatherings on Sundays.
All Sunday services are held in the main body of St Jude’s Church
Sunday 8:00 am
A traditional service of Holy Communion with hymns using ‘A Prayer book for Australia’.
Sunday 9:30 am
A semi-traditional service of ‘Sung Eucharist’ with an emphasis on good music led by the choir, small orchestra and pipe organ.
This 9:30am service draws on a variety of hymns, both traditional and contemporary, and uses ‘A prayer book for Australia’.
Services at 8am and 9.30am are followed by morning tea served at the gathering space at the back of the church.
Laying on of hands with a prayer for healing is regularly administered at the 9.30 am Sunday Eucharist on the 3rd Sunday of each month, as well as in the home or hospital (by request to our Parish Office).
All weekday services use ‘A Prayer book for Australia’
Thursday 10:00 am (last Thursday of the month)
A service of Holy Communion (no hymns or sermon) designed for those who desire a mid-week service but prefer a later start.
Friday 10:00 am
A service of Holy Communion especially, but not exclusively, for seniors. A hymn is sung and a small sermon is preached. This service is designed for those who cannot attend one of the Sunday services and is followed by a morning tea in one of our small halls.
Home communion, hospital and ‘aged care facility’ services are offered on a regular basis monthly and are available on request. Please contact our parish office for more details.
